I wanted to write a poem, and Guil and Akee (on another site) urged me too. With the help from Guil on the choice of topic, I give you a poem about clouds.
***** Violet, red, and slowly fading I watch as they inhabit the sky Like cold puffs of breath they are dissipating One by one they each pass me by
I laugh as they distort their appearance To those of many shapes and sizes Or as they migrate from the wind's interference And reveal their many secreted surprises
All the wonders these beauties can show Represent the dreams I hold onto For a special support I need to go And make it to where I am meant too
Pure and white, they grasp my gaze And hold onto it with loving hands They hypnotize me in prolonged daze For there, they show my to move on when panned
Existing in a metaphorical sense These treasures in fact possess a name Accepting my intrusive presence Clouds cannot ever be tamed
As the sun drops behind the hills The clouds have long since lifted Leaving me with just my thrills Of memories from when they existed.
