Name: Kipkit Kip-paw
Gender: Tom
Age: 6 Moons
Rank:Apprentice
Clan:ThunderClan
Quick description:Off-white tom with brown tabby stripes and bright blue eyes
Description:Despite being a pure blooded ThunderClan cat, Kip-paw is unusually small. He likes to reason that he has yet to hit his growth spurt. He stands out like a sore thumb among his big boned apprentice friends and it would be best if you didn't mention it. Kip-paw is a little sensitive (see embarrassed) about his height. Kip-paw hates it but he takes after his mother when it comes to looks. His pelt is short and has a velvet texture to it. The base colour of his coat is a cream, off-white that is riddled with light brown tabby stripes. His shoulders, back, face and limbs are decorated carefully with the thick stripes that imitate the look of a tiger. His tail is a darker brown colour with light brown stripes at the base. An easily noticeable part of Kip-paw is his luminous, bright blue eyes.
Personality:
After moons of taking care of his siblings, Kip-paw has developed a very upbeat personality around them. He always tries to keep his siblings happy despite the lack of attention from their mother. Growing up raising his siblings put a lot of pressure on the young tom, but Kip-paw grew to shoulder the responsibility. All the attention that Kip-paw focuses on his sibling leaves him painfully oblivious to anything outside his family. He is not the cat to come to if you are looking for gossip or sympathy for he never bothers with the business of others and he doesn't care for many outside his siblings. Kip-paw guards his siblings jealously and will not hesitate to fight for his siblings. He becomes really snappish and angry when they are threatened. He instantly dislike those who try to get close to his kin and can be sickeningly over bearing of them.
Those rare times he is outside his family clique he is a typical fun loving apprentice. Kip-paw is never one to be serious, instead he cracks jokes and fools around. Along with this he has a very hard time concentrating. Small things will catch his attention and he hates staying still for too long.
History: Deepshade was a very idealistic cat all her life. From when she was young she, she was always the optimistic dream who had her head in the clouds. The thing Deepshade dreamed of the most was kits, kits of her own. Deepshade had been born without any sisters or brothers. It was always just her mother, father and herself. Not that she didn't love her parents, but Deepshade had always been jealous of the other cats in the clan who had siblings. They seemed to get along so well and always had someone to rely on. Deepshade did not want her kits to go through the same thing.
Deepshade's love for kits was always at the forefront of her mind, along with that was a desire to have a good strong mate to have the kits with. She looked hard and judged every tom she came across. After a while she found the perfect tom: Smokewisp. He was considered the best fighter in the clan and was very handsome as well. Deepshade worked hard for three moons to woo the tom. Smokewisp eventually gave in.
Kipkit was the first born of the litter. He was quickly followed by his sister Ferretkit, then his brother Copperkit, a second tom Applekit and finally Grousekit. Deepshade was ecstatic at the prospect of not just having one kit but five. But the rest of the clan didn't think so positively. Despite Deepshade's life long wish of having kits was fulfilled, she was not a good mother. She cared more for herself then she did her kits. She would leave them to go hunting, take a bath or such trivial things. It was her actions that pushed Kipkit into taking on his role as "big brother". He shoulder the responsibility of taking care of his siblings from an early age. Never once did he complain.
A mere two moons after Kipkit and his siblings birth, Deepshade had wandered off in hopes of finding another tom. Smokewisp had been killed during a border patrol and Deepshade had barely morned his death before moving on. That gnawing need for kits had returned but she just could not find the right tom! So she turned to a different source: outside the clan. Soon Deepshade had found another tom from RiverClan to mate with and was once more ready to have kits. In all the commotion Deepshade had pretty much abandoned her first litter of kits, leaving them in the hands of Kipkit. Kipkit never was angry at his mother for her behavior (not true for the rest of his siblings) and focused all of his attention on his siblings.
When the kits were named apprentices, Deepshade was not there to see the ceremony. Instead she was taking care of her newest litter of kits: Quick-kit, Mintkit, Nimblekit and Skykit.
