name: Pumpkinkit, Pumpkinpaw, Pumpkinbellygender: Tomage: Eighteen Moonsrank:Warriorclan:ShadowClanquick description: Persian; fat long-haired orange tom with large pumpkin-orange eyes.description: Pumpkinbelly is a massive orange tom and his name seems to suite his physical appearance perfectly. His fur is long, smooth, and easily tangled. However, he spends the majority of his time grooming it so it does not get knotted and dirty. This cat is big already, but his thick pelt armors him with a whole other layer of fluffy enormity. Everything about him is completely round. His ears are short, rounded, and set wide apart on his plump, circular head. His face is flat and wide with big jowls that droop over his lips. His eyes are incredibly huge and perfectly round. They are a bold, golden orange color that also resembles two healthy pumpkins. They bulge out even further when he’s distressed or terribly hungry. The coloring of his fur is rich, pumpkin orange that is darker, almost red-orange, on his back, head, and tail. His underbelly and chin is slightly paler orange-gold. His tail is slightly shorter than normal, but not stubbed, and extremely bushy. His body has a lot of fat, as well as muscle. He can stand like a boulder in battle and take an incredible amount of damage because he has so many layers and he is so heavy. His paws are wide and round, great for knocking out an enemy with a single swipe. His greatest physical weakness is speed and agility. He is slow-moving and his run is barely more than a walk. He can’t turn around easily and doesn’t fit well in any small spaces whatsoever. He would perish in a territory such WindClan’s where he would have to sprint across wide open fields and hills. He is easily winded if he has to move quickly, and he has some respiratory problems that act up when he exerts himself too far. personality: Pumpkinbelly is obsessed with food and his favorite pastime, besides grooming, is stuffing his gut with fresh-kill. He is lazy, and if he can, he will try to get somebody else to do his work. He would much rather nap than go on a hunt, and he sometimes goes out on his own just to bathe in the sun. His strategy is that he locates another cat's kill that was successful, and takes the prey back to camp to make it look like he caught it himself. Although it seems like he would turn his allegiances in a second if ShadowClan began to starve, Pumpkinbelly is actually an extremely loyal ShadowClan warrior. In fact, he would go hungry for the sake of his clan in the end, although no other cat would have a harder struggle with that decision. He can be loud and obnoxious, and loves to complain about everything, especially other clans. His stubborn pride and his selfishness often gets on the nerves of his Clanmates, and it's easy to forget his beneficial use in battle. Pumpkinbelly hides behind a mask. He often appears to be narcissistic and acts as if he finds himself irresistible. He will flirt with any she-cat and often gets himself slapped in the face with a tail because of his dirty mouth. He'll go from one to another without hesitation. In reality, Pumpkinbelly would actually make a very sensitive and caring mate someday, but his food addiction seems to hinder him from taking relationships seriously. Deep down inside, Pumpkinbelly is incredibly insecure because of his family's reputation, his weight, and the fact that he was bullied as a kit. He turns to food for comfort, and has a nasty habit of stealing food from other cats and animals. Because he is often very slow and clumsy, he tends to eat away each of his failures. His hunting and scouting skills are poor, despite his warrior status, which is part of the reason his apprenticeship took so long. Pumpkinbelly's true strength lies in combat. Pumpkinbelly’s best battle strategy is to let his opponent wear itself out trying to get to a soft spot. He can withstand a lot more damage than most cats, and really all he has to do is crouch down and wait for his attacker to get tired trying to bite and scratch through a wall of fur and thick hide. His second best battle strategy is to sit or lay on top of his opponents, which easily suffocates them. He also uses his club-like paws to bat his enemy’s skulls, which usually knocks them out cold. He’s usually the first one to confront the first wave of battle, and one of the last to flee. When it comes time to run, Pumpkinbelly struggles to the point of exhaustion, especially if it’s uphill. history: Pumpkinkit’s mother spoiled him rotten because he was her only kit. Also, his father seemed to loath his mother, and him even more so. Dragonbreath judged his son harshly and never dared give him the slightest compliment. He was always calling him names and telling Pumpkinkit how worthless he was. So, Pumpkinkit turned to food and his mother as his only haven. She would shower him with compliments and fresh-kill, and would sometimes even steal food from other cats in the clan to keep her little pumpkin well-fed. It even got to the point where she would let him eat her portion of food every day, until she went from a plump, healthy queen to a baggy, sickly she-cat. Her eyes began to sink into her head and she had to spend a lot of time in the medicine cat's den. While she was away, the other kits would often make fun of Pumpkinkit for his mother’s strange behavior and his own gluttonous nature. He tried to stay proud and defend his mother, but even his father would cruelly abuse him with poisonous words. When Pumpkinkit’s mother died, he was devastated and something inside him snapped. He confronted one of the kits that bullied him most and pinned him to the ground in front of the others. He threatened the other kit, and finally earned some respect among his peers. Pumpkinpaw’s apprentice years were still very hard for him. His father got hit by a monster not long after Pumpkinpaw’s training started. Pumpkinpaw was finally free of his father’s harsh judgment, but the addiction of food instilled in him by his mother still remains. He struggled with hunting especially, but his mentor was patient and wise enough to know that Pumpkinpaw needed to focus on his strengths, which was his size and power. Despite his pride and his laziness, he managed to earn his clan’s approval in battle when he was able to take down multiple cats that had twice his experience. He was given his warrior name, Pumpkinbelly, after a delayed apprenticeship and began his life as a warrior of ShadowClan.
