description:
If it weren't for his unattractive personality, and his endless variety of scars and nicks, Spidercrawl might be quite a handsome tom. He is small for a Maine coon, but still muscular. Under his thick mass of unkempt fur, his narrow, skinny body is nothing but bones and lean muscle. He's not exactly the healthy kind of strong, and although he can make deadly strikes with chilling accuracy, he can easily be weakened because he has no fat storage to feed his energy. He barely eats, and when he does, he has a tendency to throw it back up.
Spidercrawl's fur easily gets greasy and tangled, but when it is clean it is quite impressive. His neck and chest fur is especially thick and fluffy. He has thick tufts coming out of his ears, as well as his paws. He has some patches missing where he is marked with ugly scars from his father.
Spidercrawl's fur is a mixture of charcoal black and smoky gray. His face is completely black, including his nose and ears, but outlined by a smoke-gray mane. His legs and black are the same rich black, while his chest, underbelly, hind legs, and tail are all smoke-gray with some tones of white and soot gray-black. His paw pads and whiskers are black as well. His eyes are a piercing, poisonous green that strike harshly against his coal-black face.


personality:
Some say that the cold north winds that blow through ShadowClan territory also blows through the hearts of the cats that live there. Spidercrawl is one of the cats that supports this belief. He is cruel, sharp-tongued, and generally mean-spirited. He mostly keeps to himself, but when he interacts with other cats, he is short-tempered and easily annoyed. If there's something about the cat he doesn't like, he's not afraid to make a rude or sarcastic comment. He is drawn to cats that are of higher status because he has an insatiable craving for power and plots to take over the clan someday. Of course, his foul, poisonous personality does not make him popular amongst his clan-mates. Most try to avoid him altogether, and often complain or get a dirty look on their face when they have to go out on patrol with Spidercrawl.
Spidercrawl's loyalty lies with whoever he believes to be the most powerful force of the land. However, he can't stand the other clans and so he remains faithful to ShadowClan, though he often fantasies about what it might be like to lead a band of rogues. He knows he still has a lot to learn if he wishes to gain the respect and control of other cats.
The truth is, Spidercrawl wasn't always so bitter. As an apprentice, he was as anxious as any to become the best warrior he could be. Of course, he was still a bit introverted because of his upbringing. His entire world changed when he met Butterflypaw of WindClan. He fell in love with the delicate she-cat as soon as he laid eyes on her at his first gathering. He told her about his abusive father and the death of his mother. She is the only cat that he ever felt understood him. He would have given her everything. He wanted to run away with her, and for a while she considered the idea. But it wasn't meant to be. At least, not according to Butterflypaw. She was too tied to her clan, and the warrior code. She told Spiderpaw that they couldn't see each other anymore, and that she had found somebody else within her clan.
Spiderpaw didn't take the rejection well. He swore to her that he would never fall in love again and that she had destroyed him. It secretly broke her heart, but he still believes to this day that she never cared for him at all and she abandoned him without a moment of regret. After he was sure that she meant what she said, he collapsed inside himself and since then has never let anybody else in. He's tried to put all his focus on improving his battle skills and gaining power and status within his clan. His true intentions, if he ever were to become leader, is to take over Butterflypaw's clan as well and to kill her mate and make her suffer for what she did to him.

history:
Spiderkit and his brother, Ravenkit, were the only ones to survive in a litter of five. Their siblings were all still-born. Their mother was a sickly queen named Dragonflysong that was confined to the nursery because of her mangled leg. She died not long after the kits were born, so Spiderkit and Ravenkit were left under the care of the other queens and the guidance of their father, Beetlehorn. Beetlehorn was an aggressive tom that had high expectations of his sons. He pushed them too hard, too early. He would take them out and make them battle one another until they were exhausted. Ravenkit had finally had enough and refused to speak to his father ever again. Spiderkit, however, would strive to impress his father and continued to take Beetlehorn's criticism. Spiderkit never really showed the potential that Ravenkit had portrayed, which seemed to infuriate Beetlehorn and he pushed his young son even harder. It got to the point where Beetlehorn would fight Spiderkit himself. Many times, Spiderkit was almost killed. One day, a patrol came across one of these little training sessions after Spiderkit had become Spiderpaw. They were disgusted with Beetlehorn and planned to inform the leader so Beetlehorn could be punished. It was that point when Beetlehorn told the patrol that he was fed up with ShadowClan and he decided to leave the clan, and his son, forever. Spiderkit had the chance to go with his father, but he had then realized that he actually hated Beetlehorn with his entire being. Beetlehorn's body was found not far from the ShadowClan border a couple days later. He had been attacked and mangled by a pack of dogs. It was around this time that Spiderpaw met Butterflypaw. She had given him the confidence to remain with his clan and pursue his dream of becoming a great warrior. After she rejected him, he wanted to give up everything. However, there was something inside him that drove him forward. He powered through the rest of his apprenticeship due to his fighting skills and he became Spidercrawl.
