THE APPEARANCE
Build: Flighty, light weight
Fur: An endless black, short and dense
Eyes: One a bright yellow, the other a night sky blue
Markings: Scar on his cheek and a notch in his ear
Voice: A deep, brass voice
Quick: A black tom with one yellow eye and one blue eye
Overall: Out of the two brothers, Swiftstar was actually the lazy one, thus the less physically fit than his brother. One he became deputy this all changed. Swiftstar trained every day to get himself into top shape. Now he is a tom of muscle. His previously skinny physique is now all toned muscle and sharp reflexes. His legs are long and supply build to give him the ability to turn on a dime. His tail is longer than average and gives him a rudder for the air. His tail give him his balance while he is running and also displays a lot of Swiftstar's feelings. If his tail is completely still he is very serious, but if it is moving it usually shows how content he is.
Swiftstar inherited most of his look from his mother, Stonestar. His coat is as black as shadows and doesn't have a shine to it, giving it the looks of an endless darkness. His pelt is short but very dense, giving him little wind resistance yet keeping him warm at the same time. Swiftstar is a very vain cat so he usually spends hours every day just keeping his pelt clean and smooth. Swiftstar has mismatched eyes, one a dull yellow and the other a dark blue.

Other: In the past five moons, Swiftstar's personality has turned around completely. Once upon a time he was the quite kit, the one who never got into trouble and dedicated himself to his family. In recent events he has worked hard to make his personality match that of his brother's.
Swiftstar is a arrogant cat that thinks he is above many things. He respects the warrior code and the laws in the clan but when it comes to things like StarClan he thinks himself above them. Not that he doesn't believe in StarClan but he does think that they have no real hold over him. Swiftstar likes to think that his heart beats to its own rhythm that cannot be own or tamed. This "above the law" thinking makes Swiftstar tend to bend the rules. This is not always a bad thing, because Swiftstar always has his clan's best interest at heart. He will go to any lengths to keep his clan safe. Swiftstar can be a bit overbearing when it comes to his clan safety and he hates taking risks that might put his fellow clan mates into danger. When faced with such a situations, Swiftstar would much rather put his own life on the line rather than his clan mates. So you can always be assured Swiftstar will always be on the front lines right next to the rest of his clan mates.
An obvious trait of Swiftstar is his ladies man ways. With his looks Swiftstar is naturally attractive and mysterious look and gives him a certain luring charm. He always like to flirt and charm she cats but never out steps his boundaries. It isn't rare to see Swiftstar touching others to give them a little uplift. He can be very affectionate to everyone. Outside his clan this gives him a bad reputation but all the WindClan cats know that it is just Swiftstar's way of showing his affection for his clan. This is what makes Swiftstar a natural social cat. He hates being alone and tries to be in a crowd all the time.
WindClan means many things to Swiftstar but most of all it means family to him. Since he grew up with no mother, all the cats in WindClan became his family. he dedicates himself to WindClan loyally and hates seeing the other cats disappointed in him. Swiftstar likes to consult not just his deputy, but all of his clan mates when it comes to making decisions. Swiftstar keeps all the clan involved and very rarely holds secrets from them. He has a very open policy when it comes to his clan mates. Swiftstar takes all the burden of those around him and places them on himself.
THE HISTORY

History: Stormywind and Stonedust were a very particular couple in WindClan. Stonedust was the daughter of the current leader of WindClan. She was treated like a princess in WindClan, her warrior name came to her easily despite her lack of trying. Stonedust never had to do any hard work in her life, but her reality was finally shaken when she got into her first battle. RiverClan had been suspected of stealing fish from WindClan for a moon now and when Stonedust's patrol came across RiverClan stealing prey. A fight instantly broke out and Stonedust was terrified. It was her first battle and she never really bothered with battle training. Thankfully Stonedust survived the battle with minor injures. Proud of herself, Stonedust trotted back to camp to inform her father how well she had preformed. When she arrived back to camp, it was to find her father dying with his last breath. While they had been gone, RiverClan had sent another patrol to raid WindClan of all their food. With the raid, they caused the loss of the WindClan leader's last life. His last request was to make Stonedust the next deputy. So when the new leader was named he gave Stonedust the title as deputy. The clan was happy because Stonedust was still a spoiled brat but didn't protest against her.
It wasn't until a moon later that the leader died and Stonedust was named Stonestar. It wasn't long before Stonestar let the power get to her head. She started to stop hunting for herself and just lazed around camp all day, giving ridiculous order and generally terrorizing the clan. One day Stonestar took it too far. Stonestar's eye was caught by a newly named warrior named Stormywind. Using her title as leader, Stonestar forced Stormywind to give her kits. Stormywind had been in love with his kithood friend but he was afraid what Stonestar would do if he said no. a few moons later Stonestar gave birth to Swiftkit and Galekit.
At this time a quiet revolution was starting in WindClan where the clan was planning to over throw the corrupt she cat leader at her time of weakness. Three moons after Stonestar gave birth, the clan rebelled and killed the leader. For a while they debated killing the kits but decided against it, thinking they would be different than their mother. They were wrong.
Galekit and Swiftkit remembered their mother very well and all the dark promises she would whisper to them like a lullaby. The kits were twins in their looks, both the same dark pelt of their father and mismatched eyes. The main way to tell the kits apart were their personality. Swiftkit was out going and full of his mother's dark arrogant personality. Galekit was the self appointed guardian of his brother and would do what ever he asked of him. Despite the clan's decision to let the kits live they were still rather hated for their heritage.
Swiftkit never forgot his mothers dark words and promises of power and strive to become leader of the clan. a trait that unease the clan greatly. To hopefully put a stop to the kits following the paw prints of their mother they were given strict mentors. Galekit's mentor was his blood father: Stormywind. The tom had moved on after Stonestar's death and became mates with his kithood love Dovewing. Stormywind hated Stonestar for what she had done but showed great compassion to Galepaw and tried to be as kind to him as possible. This was very difficult because despite Stonestar's dark, spoiled personality, Galepaw was everything sweet in Stonestar. The mother and son even shared the same smile. It hurt Stormywind to recognize such traits but fought through Galepaw's training without giving in.
Swiftpaw was a different story, he became a real charmer and like to smooth talk the she cats his age. His mentor had a hard time controlling him and grudgingly admit Swiftpaw was a great apprentice. He lived up to his name and retained the classical WindClan swift paws and could fight even the most experienced warrior. It looked like he was well on his was to becoming the next leader of the clan.
Swiftpaw and Galepaw kept the pure relationship they had as kits despite the contrasting personalities. They would sleep in the same nest and trade stories of their mother, their training and just how their day went.
In what seemed like no time the brother were named warriors. Swiftpaw was given the name Swiftleaf and Galepaw was given the name Galestorm.
Swiftleaf's ambitious nature bloomed like a flower and he threw himself into the warrior life. Three moons later he had an apprentice, had fought in two battles and was collecting food with ease. By this time the clan had forgotten his heritage and were proud to call him a WindClan warrior. Galestorm fit into the warrior life as well as his brother but didn't strive for it like Swiftleaf. Galestorm still acted like his brother's servant rather than brother.
This changed quickly at the age of 22 moons. Swiftleaf was pretty much assured the position of WindClan deputy but that dream was threatened by the leader. He still remembered what kind of leader Stonestar had been and worked hard to keep the deputy position out of Swiftleaf's grasp. Understandingly, Swiftleaf was frustrated by this. He turned to Galestorm to help him. He requested that Galestorm killed the deputy and make it look like an accident. Galestorm agreed and set out to kill the deputy.
Incidentally, Galestorm was due to patrol the border with the deputy the very next day. During the patrol Galestorm shoved the deputy onto Thunder Path where the deputy was struck by a monster and killed. An apprentice who had been on the patrol as well, had seen what Galestorm had done and told the leader.
Galestorm was brought before the clan to be tried for his crimes. Eventually the leader banished Galestorm from the clans. During his last night in the clans, Galestorm was approached by his brother Swiftleaf. Swiftleaf switched places, so the next morning it was Swiftleaf who was banished and Galestorm who stayed in the clans. at first Galestorm protested at letting his brother take the fall for him, but it had been Swiftleaf who had told his brother to kill the deputy, so he took responsibility for his death.
The next day "Galestorm" was banished from the clans and "Swiftleaf" was named deputy. Galestorm had a hard time adjusting to being his brother. They were so different, but within a few moons, Galestorm got used to being called "Swiftleaf".
Swiftleaf took on his mother's ambitions and became a great deputy in the clan. The leader was not happy at the fact of Swiftleaf holding the position of deputy but the entire clan was set on having Swiftleaf as deputy.
A moon later the leader died, leaving Swiftleaf with the name of Swiftstar.
AN RP SAMPLE
Swiftstar purred calmly as the she cat sitting next to him butted her head against his chest. The tom just gave the she cat a charming smirk before turning his attention back to his dark pelt. He carefully gave the pelt a few long licks, making sure that each hair was perfect. He took a moment to eye the pelt critically, his mismatched eyes looking for perfection. Swiftstar nodded his head once he was sure his pelt was to his liking. Swiftstar's attention was drawn to the camp entrance as one of his warriors came pelting through the entrance, fur on end and a look of alarm on his face.
Quickly springing into action, the dark tom jumped to his paws, ignoring the cry of surprise coming from the she cat and dashed over to the warrior. "What happened?" He asked seriously, his tail completely still and a stony look in his eyes. The warrior quickly explained the situation. Swiftstar narrowed his eyes, there was a dog out there on the moors terrorizing WindClan territory. Swiftstar heard the worried whispers start from his clan mates. "Enough!" Swiftstar called over the whispers. Once he was sure he had his clans attention he continued. "No cat is to leave camp until the dog leaves. I will lead some warriors to find the dog and track it. If it comes too close to WindClan camp we will drive it away. But hopefully it will just leave of its own accord." Swiftstar explained to the gathering of cats. He called out five other warriors to follow him before setting out after the dog. This dog would not hurt his clan mates as long as he was leader.
Why: I really took my time creating Swiftstar here because I really wanted him to be different from the other leaders. I also have an experience with leaders. So this won't be my first time. I really think Swiftstar will do WindClan some good and I hope that he will live up to everyone's expectations as a leader.
