8 moons | she-cat | ShadowClan | medicine cat apprentice "Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies." An ashy black shecat with blind stormy eyes. Appearance; FUR; Sleepingpaw's fur is an ashy blackish grey color. Her fur looks like it was thrown into a bunch of ashes after a forest fire. The ghostly look gives her the slivery effect. She looks alot like a cloudy night sky. The fur on her face, paws and tail is darker then on the rest of her body. The rest has alittle white tinting out of the background. Her fur is fluffy, though she doesn't like it that much. She wishes that her fur could be shorter so that she didn't have to clean it ALL the time. BODY; Sleepingpaw is actually a thin she-cat despite fluffy coat that she has on all the time. She likes to eat but for some reason she doesn't grow bigger. Well onto a brighter note, Her tail is long and fluffy. Almost like a feather that she can tickle other cats with. Her legs are short so she can't exactly run long distances without getting tired out. Her body is short and thin making her not the best warrior type. OTHER; First things first. Sleepingpaw is completely blind in both eyes. She was born that way. Her eyes would look a beautiful amber but they look a yellow grey because of it. Her nose is completely black and abit squished up against her face. Her whiskers, however are longer then usual, better for sensing. Not to mention her other senses are very very sharp, due to the fact that she is blind. Her claws are sharp, but very short. Good for getting mosses and collecting other types of herbs. Personality; OUTSIDE; .gentle. Sleepingpaw is the complete opposite of Maskpaw. She is no where near similar to him with his stubborn and confident look about him. She is the gentle and kind kit of the two. She doesn't speak much louder then a low mutter. Her eyes always have this calm sense about her that just make her seem like nothing can stave her. She plays around like any other apprentice does but she also likes to take time to think on things and study things around the camp. Sleepingpaw is fragile and she is less likely to become a warrior, even if she wasn't blind. Her body gets sick easily. She spends much of her time in the Medicine Cat's Den and so she gets to learn about the different kinds of herbs and sicknesses. She enjoys helping Wintersky very much and so is glad to have taken that beautiful spot of Medicine Cat Apprentice. She is more mature and respectful then her older brother and obeys the warriors more than not. She doesn't really like to get into trouble very much so she will try to stay away from it as much as possible. .smart. She's not as smart as her brother, Maskpaw, but she can hold her own as a smart cat for being blind. She can find her way around the camp easily. Using scents and sounds to navigate. She knows much about herbs due to her interest in the Medicine Cat den. She knows how to talk to another cat without being offensive because she often ponders over what she is about to say before she says it. She may not be able to bring out the best strategies in the whole world, but she knows just what to do about drama situations and wants to learn about what to do in a physical situation. .loving. Sleepingpaw is a very loving she-cat. She cares for all cats of any kind. Clan, loner, rouge, kittypet. She cares for all of them. Especially for cats who are weak or can't fend for themselves. She cares for cats that are mean, but she strongly dislikes their actions and is not afraid to say so. The only cat that she hates with all her heart is Maskpaw. An explanation will come in later. .knowing. Sleepingpaw knows that she is blind obviously and she knows that she couldn't become a very helpful warrior because of it. She isn't angry that she doesn't have sight but she wonders why StarClan chose her to be the blind one of the litter and not someone else. She wishes with all her might that she could be a warrior but she knows that that is an impossible feat for her to make. Though she wonders why she makes a good Medicine cat. She likes to identify the herbs and spend time with Wintersky too, despite her annoying OCD. She cares about other cats and would die for just about any of them. Especially most of her family. INSIDE; .introduction. Sleepingpaw feels many things on the inside. A lot of inside feelings are about her sibling and about her want to be able to do something for the Clan despite her disability. Most of these inside feelings are very strong but she never shows them because she feels guilty for having them. .pity. Sleepingpaw finds herself in a lot of trouble with some of the warriors because she tends to pity the cats that come into the Medicine cat's den. She swears that it isn't on purpose, but feels horrible about it anyway. .jealous. Its not that big of a deal to her but she is quite jealous of her older brother, Maskpaw. He's strong in mind and heart, and not to mention he can see. This doesn't come up much, but when it does, Sleepingpaw is all about letting people know about it. .annoyance. There is only one cat that she hates with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength, and that just happens to be her older brother Maskpaw. He drives her crazy with all of his "I'm smarter then you, but you hate me anyways" talk. She can't stand how depressing the tom can be when he is around his own family and she wants to strangle Maskpaw for treating the Clan the way he does. She hates it when he fights with Blackrose and will often try to halt the fight when it happens. She tries to stay away from him as much as possible and just stays in the Medicine cat's den with Wintersky. .sorrow. She finds herself thinking of her father a lot and she feels kind of sad that she doesn't have one. Though, because she didn't know her father from the start it doesn't really affect her all that much. It drives her crazy that it’s all that matters to Maskpaw. It matters so much to him that she allowed herself to be dragged out of the camp and into the forest without a guard to go and find this so called father of theirs. She will regret that day for the rest of her miserable life. She is sad that she doesn't know him, but it’s not her biggest priority either. TRUTH OR DARE; .unknown areas. At first she will hate being in an area she doesn't know about because she doesn't know whats around her. As long as someone she trusts is with her and bringing her around to show her the area she is fine. But once she is by herself she panics until she understands the area a little better. .heights. Sleepingpaw is terrified of heights. You will not be able to get her on top of a rock for a hundred pieced of Catnip. She will tear you apart before you can even try. And don't even think about putting her onto a log over water. If she ever gets out she will kill you out of rage and fear. .water. If there is anything Sleepingpaw is afraid of more then heights it has to be water. She doesn't mind small pools that she can swim around in and get wet and drink from. Its the rivers and the lakes and things like that that she can't stand. She is afraid of drowning. She can't swim so it makes it that much harder for her. History; KITTING; She began with the name of Stormkit because of her stormy like fur, but when her mother saw that she was blind when she opened her eyes, she quickly changed her name to Sleepingkit. As a kit Sleepingkit had often wondered about who her father was and what she meant to him, but she never found any real feelings for him. Unlike Maskkit, she didn't really care if she found out who her father was or not. In fact she really didn't want to know. When Maskkit got them into the forest and got them into trouble with the fox, Sleepingkit knew from that point that she didn't want anything more to do with her obsessive brother. So she began to ignore him. After that it took her all of two moons to figure out that it was impossible for her to become a warrior's apprentice. For about ten sunrises Sleepingkit was jealous of her brother, but she shoved that down her throat as she found how well she became accustomed to the herbs in the Medicine cat's den. She BEGGED Wintersky to take her on as an apprentice. She told her that she wanted to be useful and that she didn't want to be just an extra mouth for the clan to feed. When Wintersky agreed, Sleepingkit ran straight to Hollowstar to confirm it. APPRENTICESHIP; When Sleepingpaw became an apprentice, she tried as hard as she could to impress her mentor, Wintersky. There was nothing Wintersky asked for that Sleepingpaw didn't get or understand. She was excited to become something useful that even Maskpaw's apprentice ceremony didn't bother her. Her's was more interesting anyway. His she saw a lot because of kits before them that had had the honor. However, the Medicine cat world mystified her, and when she found out about visiting Starclan on the first night she just couldn't keep her paws still.
