It was just before sundown. Solostar was lounging at the mouth of her den after eating a small carp. She lazily watched her clanmates as they milled around the camp. Standing up slowly, she stretched, her silver grey pelt rippling and padded in the center of the camp. She didn't have to speak, everyone was already there but she spoke the age old words anyways.
"Let all cats old enough to catch there own fish gather here before me for a clan meeting." She let out a powerful yowl and stood waiting for her clan to gather. Tonight she was going to make a warrior, out of an apprentice who truly deserved it and didn't even know she would be getting her warrior name tonight.
The young apprentice named Willowpaw had been injured horrifically, as a young apprentice. She had scars across her face but had a wonderful spirit. If any apprentice deserved her warrior name, she did. Her brother should be receiving his name as well...
Shaking away the morbid thoughts, the she-cat mentally noted cats as they appeared: Whitefrost, Briarmoon, Splashpaw, Leafkit... All good RiverClanners. Flicking her tail with a twinge of impatience, she waited for her clan members. RiverClan is always changing, always flowing. That's what makes us stronger than the other clans. This gathering I shall have a new warrior to introduce to the clans, another warrior to RiverClan's ranks, another warrior for our strength and powers.

Nightbreeze was sleeping peacefully in the Elders den, smiling in his sleep as he drempt of swimming through the water and leaping into battle. He was just about to sink his claws into that a Thunderclan tom when Solostar's yowl rang through the entire camp and across the river waters. Golden eyes blinked open and stared through the darkness of the den, the thin silhouette of his frame illuminated by the colors of the dying sun. A meeting, eh? I suppose I should join then. He thought to himself with a measure of curiousity, wondering what it is that Solostar has to announce publicly. Slowly and cautiously, the robust black cat drug himself up out of bed and ignored the desire to stretch, knowing it will only give him excruciating pain instead of the relief he wished it would bring. With stiff steps, Nightbreeze walked out of the den, having to close his eyes for a moment as the brightness from the outside suddenly washed upon him. The lone elder didn't have to leave far from his den to be get close to the meeting area where he saw Solostar standing with the rest of the clan lazily flowing in from the dens into the open like the river that surrounded the camp. Releasing a yawn that flashed his unworn teeth in the dusk light and his golden eyes searched for a cat to ask about whats going on, even though he knew they probably hadn't the slightest idea. Hmm lets see...there hasnt been any real dangerous or threatening encounterings with animals or other clans....and no new kits have been born... Nightbreeze's eyes narrowed against the moist ground as he tried to think of what might be going on, racking his mind for an answer but unable to find one. Tunring his head back upward to look upon Solostar, he couldnt help but feel a measure of pride and humor. He had seen his very own leader grow up from a kit into what she is today and just seeing how far that little kit in the nursery came was heart-warming and prideful. His only regret now was that he had taken the time to get to know Solostar before her leadership, perhaps they couldve been friends...then again, they could now. Nightbreeze shook his head to clear his mind. No, a leader would not want that sort of association. Besides, the black tom had the reeds and the river. What better friends could a Riverclan cat ask for?

Kestrelfeather was dreaming, her tail curled around her mid section of her body. Her ears flicked at the sound of her leaders voice. An apprentice's ceremony? She wondered for a moment, before the queen lifted her head. She wasn't too far to the point where she was showing, she was close, but it was to the point where she wanted to attend these kind of things. The air in the camp was crisp, as Kestrelfeather let out a large yawn and stretched her limbs. The queen wandered out of the nursery and looked around. Looked as if not many clan members were out yet, but there would be. Kestrelfeather looked up at Solostar, there wasn't much of a smile upon the queen's face. But, faking one was more or over the only thing she could do to not attract attention to herself.
After last night with Raggedshadow, Kestrelfeather was unsure about a lot of things. She was sure it would past in a few days, but at the moment the situation had her feeling down. Paws against the soft moist ground, her tail twitched as she took a seat up front near towards the leader. Ceremonies were only a once in a life time thing, they only got a few in their life times, a apprentice ceremony and a warrior ceremony, not to mention an elder ceremony when the time came to it. Yet, Kestrelfeather was happy to join those when she could. May the odds be forever in your favor Kestrelfeather shook the thought away and calmed herself. To center herself to the state where she was.

A young silver tabby with black tabby stripes walked in to camp with two fish in her jaws. She had ran in quick after hearing her leader's yowl for the clan meeting and she wanted to see what it was about. Willowpaw made her way to the front before anyone else. She thought that maybe Leafkit and Rosekit were going to be made apprentices and the young kits would finally get their wish of getting out of the nursery. Willowpaw hoped so for the kits sakes, as they have wanting her to take them out of camp for a moon now. Willowpaw could help but smile at the thought of the two kits becoming apprentice and yet a frown crossed her muzzle at her own naming. Would she ever been given her warrior name and if so, why hasn't it happen yet. Willowpaw wanted to be a warrior and yet felt that she wouldn't make that best of a warrior with being half blind. But then she remembered the words Solostar had said to her at the river and a smile crossed her muzzle once again. She would be made a warrior; Willowpaw just had to be patient. The wait would be worth it once the day came and she was given the name she wants the most. However, Willowpaw still worried that she was just taking up time from other apprentices who could make a real difference. Willowpaw looked up at her leader and had a worried look in her bright blue eye. Willowpaw sat there looking at the leader and wondering what was going to happen next. For the first time in a long while, Willowpaw could feel the scars going across her face over her blind left eye.

As her clan gathered, she swept her tail as she began to speak. "I've called you together tonight for a special reason. Tonight I shall name a new warrior. Naming a warrior is one of the most important things that happens in a clans life. For tonight, the warrior I shall name is a warrior who deserves her name. "
Stepping forward, in the pause in her speech she let her blue eyes rest on the young apprentice, Willowpaw. "Willowpaw, come forward, please." As she spoke she felt her tail raise with excitement. For this apprentice was very worthy of the name that Solostar had chosen.
As her warriors watched she glanced over them, while waiting on Willowpaw and found her gaze resting on Whitefrost. Whitefrost and his apprentice Creampaw, had grown extremely close, which could become problematic. However the young leader had decided to let this play out, and see what happens. Just beside Whitefrost sat Leafkit, one of the two ThunderClan kits that were given to Creampaw.
Looking down the line, she saw Kestrelflight, a pregnant queen. Nightbreeze, a respected elder and finally her gaze rested on Briarmoon and Splashpaw. Though she hadn't looked at all of her warriors, she knew she had the makings of a powerful clan.
Willowpaw will be an great addition to those ranks, and she will be a great warrior. Her scars and life experiences would build her into an amazing mentor and a warrior would have a story to tell.

(Hi I'm going to redo this post, so please wait for me to fix it)
Willowpaw looked at her leader in surprise and stood in shock for moment. That is till Solostar called her forward to be given her new name. The young apprentice eyes were sparkling happily and walked up to below were her leader stood. This was going to be her happyest day. Willowpaw sat before the spot and smiled to her leader.
