The light of the dawn of a new day shone into the nursery and from her position in between her two larger brothers, a small kit began to stretch. She had wedged herself deep in between the two toms like usual. This was HER spot, the spot the little kit claimed each and every night. She absolutely loved cuddling in between the toms and it brought a slight sense of peace to the pure black furred kit. She had been away from them one night, and that had been the worst night of her life. The little kit had not slept one wink and had been very irritable the next day. She refused to play with the two toms that day, and had instead spent the day in the elder’s den pouting.
Blinking her emerald green eyes slowly, the little kit yawned. Ravenkit was always the cutest when she was snuggling with her siblings, and especially right when she woke up. It was at this time that she was still slightly sleepy and very cuddly. She loved to be picked up and just feel warm fur around her. She didn’t want to move from the spot she was in, but she was getting a little hungry. Ignoring the rumbling of her stomach, she decided to stay just a bit longer. But then, a thought stopped her from everything. Where was mommy? Ravenkit began to panic. She couldn’t find her mother and how was she supposed to go on without mommy right beside her at all times?
Ravenkit was now on her paws pacing around the nursery, looking under every crack, and every spot she could think of to find Heatherpetal. ”Mommy?......Mommy?”
[/color] the kit was becoming more and more frightened as the time grew on. Her voice was shaking, as was her body. It was absolutely imperative that she found her mother soon. If not, she would seriously begin to go mental. She didn’t really care at the moment if she woke her brothers, right now she needed her mother, and when she didn’t have Heatherpetal in her sight at all times, this is what would happen.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Heatherpetal's ears perk up as she hears one of her kits crying out for her "Mommy....Mommy." Is want she hears? The young queen quickly picks up her prey and makes way back to the nursery. Pinespot her brother saw as Heatherpetal makes it back to the nursery after the cries of her kit. He quickly picks up his prey and goes after the queen with sparkling eyes. The tom knew his sister would make a great mother and if Falconclaw was here, he would have made a great father. For now the tom was trying to be the kits uncle/father figure in their lives. Heatherpetal made it back in to her den and walked over to her nest to drop the prey next to it. She then went over to her kit and picked Ravenkit up. Heatherpetel took her to the nest and sat down with the kit close to her. She started to lick her kits head to calm her down while she purred. Heatherpetal rubbed her head on to Ravenkits and hoped this help to calm the frightened kit.
Pinespot sat at the entrance, watching Heatherpetal with amber and blue eyes. He was going to wait for Ravenkit to calm down before letting them know he was there. Pinespot was always happy to watch the kits for his sister and play with them to give her time for herself. He started to lick a paw clean as blood from the prey got on it as he finished his meal. He watched as Heatherpetal purred while licking her kits head to calm Ravenkit down.

Ravenkit was now in a full blown panic attack. She had been afraid of being left alone for as long as she could remember. It was the worst fear this kit had and not being able to find her mother was starting to sink in. The little kit really did have these panic attacks far too often. She had been told to try and calm down, that didn’t help. It seemed all that could help these attacks were the voice and the sight of her mother. No one else could calm this kit down.
Finally, she felt herself being picked up into familiar jaws and she felt somewhat better, but her breathing was still ragged. When she was set on the ground once again, she felt the warmth of her mother around her and Ravenkit was doing all she could to stop the panic attack. But it had taken over her little body and there was nothing she could do.
”Mommy….mommy….mommy.”
[/color] she whispered, trying to control her breathing. She began to cough a little, but once she felt her mother’s tongue on her, and the soft purring she was calming down, slowly. Her little sides were heaving as she struggled to get a breath in. After a few more moments, she was able to take some deep breaths and the kit was going back to normal. Finally feeling like her body would allow her to move, Ravenkit buried her head deep in her mother’s fur. ”Please never leave me.”[/color] she pleaded, her emerald eyes wide with fear and worry. Ravenkit hated that she had to go through this, that she had these little ‘episodes’ where she just couldn’t control her body or what went on in her head. It made her feel so weak and helpless. She didn’t know how she would do as an apprentice, she was scared to even think if she could be a good apprentice.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
