A brown tabby was just sitting on a stump in the middle of the swamps of ShadowClan. His name is Robinfrost and is thinking of the times his mother was just right out horrible to his little sister Wrenstar. The tabby Tom sighed as thoughts of all the times when Wrenstar was a kit came to mind, and much his mother seemed to hate the runt of the litter. Who would do that to a kit, who could help it that they were the runt of the litter? Robinfrost was troubled with all the things Ternleaf tried to do. She had even tried to have little Wrenpaw kicked out of ShadowClan because the queen thought Wrenstar would be useless to the clan, and He felt grateful that the Medicien cat had stepped in order to help his sister. Robinfrost has had moments where he has wanted to help her out in times like that with their mother. However, someone else always beat him to it, and Robinfrost was forced to sit on the side lines. However, Robinfrost was proud of his little sister as she had shown everyone that her small size didn't make her weak.

Beneath the canopy of pine trees, upon the soft moist earth of the Shadowclan territory, a lone silver-blue cat walked, no direction, no purpose in her journey. She just needed to get out. The air was thick with the scents of newleaf and the smaller plants and deadened trees were blossoming with green foliage and cast white and pink petals to the wind. Raincloud walked along with a stride that made her seem to glide across the littered forest floor. It was a peaceful, cool day, perfect for a morning stroll without the company of other cats, a perfect time to clear your mind and get some fresh air. Her gray, blue and silver pelt swayed ever so slightly with the breeze that caused the towering trees to creak and bend, a pleasent and reassuring sound. Emerald eyes scanned the area around her as she walked on, all senses alert for any patrols or even intruders. As if any sensible cat would dare stray into Shadowclans swamps. Raincloud thought with a smirk, knowing that many cats were too frightened by stories of how fierce the dark clan was, those being enough to drive them out. A nice breeze blew headon to the she-cat and she closed her eyes and embraced it, reveling the feeling of it in her fur. But something carried on that wind made her freeze and snap to attention, eyes narrowing suspiciously. Another cat...doesnt smell like the other clans horrid smells though.. She thought, quickly going in the direction of the scent, it becoming stronger with each stride until it became apparent that the cat was a fellow Shadowclan warrior. By now she was able to see the cat and it she quickly identified him as Robinfrost, someone she wasnt quite familiar with but she knew enough to know he wasnt dangerous. It seemed as if he was absorbed in thought as he sat on the stump over looking the swamp. Raincloud stood still for a moment, not knowing if she should approach or just keep walking. Well I dont know this cat well...now is an oppertunity to do so. "Hello there!" Raincloud called uncertainly, walking just a bit closer, her tail barely twitching from anticipation.

Robinfrost was watching clouds pass by while deep in his thoughts of his mother. He sighed as the thoughts of his mother and all that she's done. Robinfrost didn't understand why Ternleaf was loving to her first litter and then was mean to Wrenstar because she was the runt. Robinfrost than snapped out of his thoughts and looked in the direction of the voice. It was Raincloud, but he didn't know much about her and thought she was a pretty she-cat with nice green eyes. Icy blue eyes looked at his fellow ShadowClanner "hello Raincloud...how have things been for you?" He asked. Robinfrost knew about what happen to her brothers, and he felt that if anything like that was to happen to his sisters. He wouldn't know what to do with himself. However, Robinfrost noticed that Raincloud didn't seem that sad about her brother's deaths. He has also heard'd that she doesn't believe in StarClan, and he couldn't blame her. He was raised to believe in Starclan from the time he was a kit and has always looked to the stars for answer's to questions he's had. Robinfrost patted his tail on the stump space beside him "went to join me, and maybe we can talk....it gets lonely out here while thinking." Robinfrost said with a smile.

"Hello, Raincloud...how have things been for you? Want to join me, and maybe we can talk....it gets lonely out here while thinking." The tabby replied with a small smile, patting the area left over on the stump just in case she agreed. For a moment she just stood there dazed, not quite sure if she should sit with him. What would other cats think if they saw us together? She fretted to herself, growing a bit worried. But then she recalled what she had heard of Robinfrost. He had lost his mentor whom he had been very close to. Raincloud knew that pain to a degree, for she too had lost her mentor, Scarstorm, even though she wasnt quite fond of him. It would be rude to just leave the tabby sitting there so the silver-blue she-cat rested her decision of joining the thoughtful cat with the icy blue eyes. Why should I care if someone sees us? Its not as if I'm mooning over him.
"That sounds nice, thank you." Raincloud replied kindly but yet with the natural firmness that came in her voice when she was sure of herself, which wasnt quite so often. Usually she would be nervous and ancy around other cats, even of her own clan, but right now without everyones eyes on her, she felt free and confident. Padding up softly to the stump and nimbly leaping onto the spot next to Robinfrost, her fur brushing up against his some. "Oh, sorry."She murmured with surprise, scooting over enough to where they were no longer so close, her gray-silver tail curling around her paws. Her emerald green eyes focused on Robinfrost as she turned her head to look at him, sitting up as straight as she could to try and gain height but she was definatly still shorter than the muscular warrior, her head just at his chin above his shoulder. "What brings you out here, Robinfrost? Thinking, I know, but would you mind telling me what of? I'm not trying to intrude but...." Raincloud looked away and down at her paws, tail-tip twitching from irritation at herself. She often found herself rambling on when in a conversation and she felt it was an annoying habit. But she never had a chance to talk to others really or was too uncertain to do so. Perhaps with a bit of practice she could control her tongue...

Robinfrost chuckled at how she tried to not be rude by asking what he was thinking of "it's OK; I was thinking about how my mother treated my little sister, Wrenstar when she was a kit...It was terrible how that cat pretty much turned on Wrenstar, as soon as she was born and all because she was the runt...it was unthinkable!" Robinfrost said out loud for the first time. It made him feel so much better to actually tell someone of his feelings. Robinfrost looked at Raincloud "I grew to hate my mother for how she treated Wrenstar as a kit and apprentice....she actually wanted Hawkstar to kick her out of the clan just because of her small size." Robinfrost said with sadness in his icy blue eyes. He may not show many feelings and doesn't talk much to his older brother or is just right out cold towards him. However, he loves his younger siblings and is protective of them. Just than thoughts of Bloomfur pass his mind, and he frown sadly. The beautiful she-cat had been dead a week before he was made a warrior, and they had talked about becoming mates after he was made a warrior. Robinfrost looked at the sky and saw a star in the daytime sky sparkling brightly "Bloomfur!" He whispered to himself. It was a painful thought, and he would push it to the back of his mind to keep going forward in life ever since her death.

Rainclouds eyes widened in surprise and then narrowed in anger, her tail giving an agitated flick as Robinfrost told her of how his mother treated her second litter. Ternleaf was the queens name. Raincloud had heard of her also, but never of the seemingly cruel and heartless cat Robinfrost described to the gray-blue she-cat. "Kick a cat out of the clan for being small?! A queen tried to do that to her own kit?? Thats absolutely terrible! Its horrible! Unthinkable!" Raincloud said, straining to keep her voice a simple mew instead of a yowl of fury. The water-colored she-cat could not believe a mother would even dare think of doing such a thing to her own kit just because she was small. I was small too, still am, but Tigerlily didnt have me being chased from the clan! What kind of monster would do that? She thought bitterly to herself, looking back up at Robinfrost who was looking up at the sky, observing something Raincloud could not see from her point of view and she had to push down a swarm of curiousity so as not to ask this newly met cat too much. "Well then...if size is what matters in a clan instead of heart and loyalty, then I shouldve been driven out." Raincloud continued with a mixture of attempted humor and seriousness, still fuming about what the tabby had told her. Now Raincloud did not know for sure until now that Wrenstar and Robinfrost were family but this new-found information was both exciting and unnerving. If I were to somehow make Robinfrost angry, would he be able to get me kicked out actually? She worried to herself, her emerald eyes looking up and down the muscular tom and she could see his mouth move in whisper but her own thoughts drowned out his words. No, he possibly couldnt. Wrenstar is far too level-headed and wise to let family ties influence decisions. "But it seems you really care about your family, especially your sister." Raincloud said in a more cool, soft tone, still curious as to what Robinfrost was looking at but a bit to apprehensive to ask...

Robinfrost chuckled a little at her try for humor of the whole thing and gave a small smile. He never lets his temper with Ternleaf get away like that. However, his been holding it inside for so long that it was about time that it would break the gates and flood out to be here'd by someone, anyone who would listen. Robinfrost was happy that Raincloud had listened to his ranting " I never thought Ternleaf would be able to do such things....She was so loving when Thrushnose, and I were kits." He said sadly. Robinfrost looked to the sparkling star again and thought about Bloomfur "Bloomfur would be proud of Wrenstar....just as much as I am proud of her." Robinfrost said with sad eyes. He then looked at Raincloud "So what brought you out here...I've told you why I'm out here, and you have yet to say one thing about yourself." Robinfrost said with a smile. He was trying to change the subject of his mother and sister, because it brought up memories of Bloomfur.

Raincloud let out a soft laugh, still looking straight on at Robinfrost who was doing the same, which was quite strange. Usually(or whenever she did) a cat wouldnt look directly at her when talking to her, their eyes always looking over her shoulder as if they were talking to someone else. But Robinfrost was different. It gave her a bit of the chills, but not completely in a bad way. Those icy eyes staring right back into her emeralds were soft and welcoming, not barred off as she would have imagined they may have been. "So what brought you out here...I've told you why I'm out here, and you have yet to say one thing about yourself." Raincloud was almost tempted to inquire more of Bloomfur but the eagerness to move on and measure of pain in Robinfrost's eyes made her think otherwise. Last thing she wanted to do was drive a cat into sadness. Ah, well I dont quite like talking about myself, its rather a boring subject. I'd much rather here other cat's stories." Raincloud mewed, smiling kindly at the tom and gently flicking his flank with her silver-blue tail. "I'm here because I wanted to get some fresh air, some aloneee time. Being in the clan is great and all but once in a while a cat needs time to think and loosen up, you know?" Raincloud said, looking off into the trees and then back up to Robinfrost's signature eyes. Yes, she had come out here to be alone but that is what she usually was, even among her clanmates, now that she had no family and she learned to overcome that void. Yet out here in the open air, conversing normally with another living, breathing cat opened her back up from the world of association she had cut herself off from and made her aware of the need for others in her life. Robinfrost was a start...and secretly Raincloud hoped that this wouldnt be the last time they spent time with eachother. After all, two is better then one, right?

Robinfrost smiled at the other shadowclan cat with him and looked at the sky again to see the same star start to sparkle even brighter. He could almost feel Bloomfur with him, and it made his heart ache painfully. Robinfrost remembered her last words to him "move on and live life, find a new mate to let into your heart!" It is what she said to him. Robinfrost had been an apprentice at the time she dead and as the image of her laying on the ground covered in blood faded Raincloud came in view of his icy blue eyes. He smiled at her friendly like and could help by notice her beautiful green eyes. Bloomfur's had been amber like the sun, and Rainclouds were like emeralds sparkling in the sun. Robinfrost touched her nose with his and blushed like his never had. Robinfrost cleared his throat and turned away red under his fur "What was i thinking....we pretty much just met and....I just...error." Robinfrost thought to himself.

Raincloud watches with interest and confusion as Robinfrost looks off to the sky again, his blue eyes intent but alight. Robinfrost looked back at her and smiled kindly, something new in his eyes, something Raincloud could not identify. Then out of nowhere, this is what suprised the silver-blue she-cat, the tabby tom leaned forward and touched noses with her. Raincloud let out a small, shocked gasp of surprise, emerald eyes wide and ears burning from flatter and shock, so utterly flabbergasted and taken away by this affectionate action. Robinfrost must have sensed the awkwardness and turned away, clearing his throat. Raincloud looked off to the side also, not sure how to respond to this because she had never had been in a situation as this before. "Robinfrost...I...is there something...?" Raincloud can hardly speak from the shock of everything but she can once again look over at the tom, mind in a bit of a haze from the small shock of electricity of touching Robinfrost. Until now she hadnt noticed how handsome this tom was, how his gaze was both a comfort and also stirred in her something she had been wanting to feel since she was a young apprentince. But we've just met! How could he be who Im looking for? We barely know eachother! Raincloud thought to herself, looking down at her gray-silver paws and blinking her emerald green eyes in thought, trying to keep this plague of feelings under control.

Robinfrost didn't know what he had been thinking and after seeing the shock on Rainclouds face it was clear she was surprised that it happened. They had just met, and he was pretty much kissing her; it was strange as he felt a warm feeling. It was the same feelings he felt while with Bloomfur before her death, and it seem to scare him out of his body. Robinfrost didn't think he ever felt this warm in his heart ever again. Icy blue eyes are wide with confusion, and he can't think of what to say for a few minutes "I...I'm so sorry about that Raincloud....I wasn't thinking, and I was thinking of Bloomfur and....and." Robinfrost didn't know what else to say. He was 36 moons old and still had no mate or kits. Robinfrost didn't know what to do and so decided to leap off the stump for a moment to try to clear his mind.

"I...I'm so sorry about that Raincloud....I wasn't thinking, and I was thinking of Bloomfur and....and." Raincloud was just about to say "Its okay.." But when Robinfrost mentioned Bloomfur, his mentor, a sudden realization occured to her...and a new feeling that she could only identify as a strange emptiness in the pit of her stomach. He was in love with his mentor...Bloomfur had died and he's still in love with her. He imagined I was Bloomfur. Raincloud thought with a bit of despair but a newfound understanding. "Ah...I...I see...Bloomfur." Raincloud said alot more strongely than she felt, looking at Robinfrost as he got off the stump. Standing up with a hurricane of emotions and looking off to the undergrowth where she was hoping to disappear. "Perhaps its time I took my leave...It was nice talking with you, Robinfrost...I'm sorry I'm not Bloomfur." With a last solemn look at the tabby, Raincloud hoped off the stump and began walking away from the entire seen, feeling empty and full at the same time, emotions so wild and head still spinning into a haze from it all that the silver-gray-blue she-cat didn't know what to feel or do. So her pawsteps continued to carry her off into the pine trees with her last words continuing to echo in her mind. I'm sorry I'm not Bloomfur...I'm sorry I'm not Bloomfur..

Robinfrost looked at the ground as if it was the most wonderful thing in the world. He didn’t know what to say to Raincloud and just stood there with a frown on his muzzle. However, he never thought Raincloud would take it so hard when Robinfrost said he was thinking of Bloomfur when that happened. Robinfrost never wanted to hurt her and without thinking, that is what he just did. She was beautiful cat in his eyes and could help but think of Bloomfurs eyes when looking in them. He turned around quickly to see her walking away “Raincloud, wait….Please I’m sorry.” He said frowning. He didn’t want to hurt anyone and here he was hurting a she-cat that for some reason felt like they could become more than just a friend. Robinfrost looked at her “Let me explain what I was thinking about, please.” Robinfrost begged as he walked behind. He didn’t know what to do if Raincloud would not give him a chance to explain. Robinfrost looked at her with sad icy blue eyes and stood there waiting for her answer. He wanted to explain the last words that Bloomfur said to him and as to what he was thinking about Bloomfur. Robinfrost didn’t want to lose the chance of possibly of falling in love again. It would be wonderful to try this out and to see what happens. He looked at her with bright icy blue eyes “I had been thinking of her last words to me when I did that…I wasn’t thinking that u were her.” Robinfrost said frowning as he hoped she would believe him.

The blue-gray she-cat involuntarily stopped in her tracks as Robinfrost spoke again. She hadn't expected him to, she thought he would just sit there silently and let her leave like she wanted to do. Right now, she wanted nothing more than the earth to open and swallow her up.“Raincloud, wait…Please I’m sorry.”Raincloud's head was hanging low but it turned just barely so as to suggest she heard him, ears angled back towards him so as to capture every word and makes sure she understands what Robinfrost says.“Let me explain what I was thinking about, please. I had been thinking of her last words to me when I did that…I wasn’t thinking that u were her." Raincloud turned around and faced Robinfrost, her eyes no longer sullen but instead narrowed some in questioning as they searched his icy blue ones. She closed her eyes for a moment and let out a sigh, feeling so embarressed and foolish now that she found of Robinfrost wasn't thinking of her as Bloomfur but of Bloomfur's last words to him. I cannot believe I just made a complete mouse-brain out of myself...I suppose he thinks I have 'feelings' for him now...Oh Starclan help me... Opening her emeralds once more, Raincloud looked calmly at Robinfrost and took a deep breath as she prepared to speak. "No...I'm sorry, Robinfrost. I just...I don't know..." Her eyes closed again and she looked off to the side and down at the ground, skin blushing underneath her cool fur. "I just figured you were using me as one to compare to Bloomfur...and I dont like being used...thats why I got...a bit upset." Raincloud attempted to explain that there was nothing intimate going on...only a mis-understanding, and she hoped she hadn't given the warrior tom the wrong idea. But what if it was the right idea? Raincloud looked back up apologetically to Robinfrost and offered a small, friendly smile, fur buffeted slighting by another cool breeze that creaked the trees. "If you want to tell me about what Bloomfur said...I'd be honored to hear that warriors last words." The silver-blue she-cat dipped her head some in respect, hoping she hadn't offended or hurt Robinfrost in any way and willed him silently to tell her whats on his mind, curiousity growing within her.

Robinfrost smiled at the she-cat and sat beside her. He'd been honored to tell anyone Bloomfurs last words "She told me to find someone else to love after her death and that even with her death, I should live my life to its fullest....That I should mourn her for too long." He said with a sad frown on his face. Robinfrost never thought of telling anyone this words and thought that they would forever be his to keep. It was strange to just go out and say it to Raincloud. He hasn't even told his brother's or sister's about this. It was indeed strange to tell her and yet feel like a weight was taken off of his shoulders. He had loved Bloomfur with all his heart and yet being with Raincloud gave him the same feelings as if Bloomfur was still around. However, Robinfrost knew that Raincloud was a different cat from Bloomfur and accepted that. He looked at her with a smile "Those were her last words to me and I understand what she meant.....She wanted to me find a new mate and to live on to see another day." Robinfrost said looking at the stars that came out.
