He listened to his love talk, his blue eyes full of pride and love at her strength. When she asked him to stay, he finally spoke again. "I will stay until you are ready. Everything else we can work out then." Blinking gently at the she-cat, he pressed his pelt against hers and looked out over the river.
The sun had set, and it was now twilight, the time between the sun and moon. As the pair sat there the stars began to glisten and Whitefrost found himself looking up at them wondering about his own lost family, and wondered if all of their ancestors were really looking down on them.
"Creampaw, I feel like your mother and sister would be proud of you... I just wanted to tell you that."

Creampaw felt the weight on her shoulders slighten a little. Well this could be good, and if she went full throttle in on this, she knew she could possibly be hurt. But it was worth the risk, and Whitefrost really seemed to love her. The look in his eyes said it all, and the way he spoke to her. Maybe she could not be quite as broken. His words were so sincere and Creampaw was truly beginning to believe them. Her heart melted even more when his pelt touched her own. She couldn’t help but gaze up at him with a new emotion in her eyes. Was this love she was feeling? No, she wasn’t capable of something like that…was she?
The apprentice had not even noticed how late it had gotten to be. She had been here for so long, that she barely was registering anything. It had taken almost all day for her to really think about her feelings and accept that someone could love her. Creampaw buried her head into Whitefrost’s fur and felt like she could stay here forever like this. ”I keep thinking this is a dream and when I wake up this will all just be nothing. Never did I imagine actually falling in love with a cat so soon in my life. But you know, I actually don’t mind. Who better to teach me the ways of the clan and steal my heart than my mentor.”
she murmured. His last statement said it all. She suddenly began to break down completely. Her mother proud? Her sister too? It was like she was finally saying goodbye to them, and she didn’t want that to happen. But she had to move on for both herself and the kits. ”You do know if the kits think I’m their mother, they might think of you as their father….” Creampaw began, but trailed off, too embarrassed to continue the thought. Stifling a purr, the white warrior let his mind wonder onto Rosekit. The young kit had insisted on calling Creampaw mommy, since they had arrived- and he did realize that he'd probably be called "daddy". Touching her ear with this tail gently, he purred, "I have a feeling Rosekit will do whatever she likes. She's going to be a lot like you. She can call me whatever she wants to call me."
He let out a purr as he thought about the young kit. She was certainly... interesting. Leafkit was the quiet one, and he had grown slightly fond of the young kit in the time he'd been with the clan. He didn't speak much, but he seemed to observe everything. Turning to look at his apprentice, and love he mummered, "Are you ready to go back to camp now? We could stop in on the kits before it's too late." He wasn't trying to rush her, but he also knew one of the best ways for her to move on was going to be to try to live as normally as possible.
Kneading his claws into the gravely sand of the river, and almost imagined that he could see the glint of a ThunderClan cat's eyes across the river. He hadn't seen a patrol since the flood, but it would be about time for them to get back to normal, ThunderClan always had to have a patrol... if only to show strength.

Creampaw couldn’t argue with what Whitefrost had said, he was definitely right about that. Her sister was just like her as a kit….and well slightly now. She really was going to do exactly that. But hearing that he was going to allow Rosekit to call him whatever she wanted made her grin widen. He would be a great ‘real’ father someday. Not that Creampaw wanted kits…no she would let the kits call her mommy for now, but when they become old enough to know the truth, she will tell them. ”I just hope she doesn’t get my fearlessness. I think that gets me into trouble more than anything.”
she murmured. She was lost in thought as Whitefrost’s soft voice interrupted, though she didn’t mind. Was she really ready to go back to camp and face everyone and everything? The apprentices must think she is completely insane, then again she didn’t make friends easily. She was shutting everyone out right now and she couldn’t do that. There were two little lives that were depending on her. She would make them proud, she would make Whitefrost proud. She had to. With a deep sigh she nodded. ”I guess so. I’m not doing the clan any good sitting here and wishing with all my might I can see them.” she whispered, not trusting her voice to speak too loud. But the thought of seeing the kits did make her smile. ”Just because I’m excited to see the kits does not make me soft in any way. I’m still the same Creampaw and I’m trying to go back to the old me. I think I just need a little bit of time. Maybe I can teach my brother and sister a few little battle moves. That will make them get into some real trouble later.” And there was that mischievous look that Creampaw had mastered so well. The cream colored apprentice was smirking at the thought of showing her siblings how to really cause trouble in the nursery. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
