Description:

Ospreykit is a black and white tom in simple terms. Those are the only two colors you will see on his body, but there isn’t really an abundance of either color, the colors even eachother out. The base coat on his back is black, but down the middle of his back is a white stripe. Due to the white stripe on his back, the tom has been mistaken for a skunk before, on several occasions. Ospreykit’s front two paws, muzzle, and majority of his underneath are all white. Everything else on the tom’s body is black including his tail, back legs, and back paws. His face is quite even with black and white, having all black but the stripe in between his eyes and stretching to his nose, and around his mouth. He has handsome light green eyes that show the pain that he has gone through in his past.

This little tom has legs that are quite short, which cause him to trip frequently. Most of the time, he will trip into thorns, and almost always has a thorn in his fur from the bushes. He has a small scratch just underneath his ear from his mother's claws, then again he probably has more he just doesn’t allow others into his personal space often. When it comes to size, Ospreykit will eventually become average sized. He is just small now from all the neglect as a kit, it will take some time for him to grow and probably will stay small through most of his apprenticeship. The closer he becomes to his warrior ceremony is when he will most likely begin growing.

Low self-esteem, positive, good listener, respectful

Ospreykit tries to have a positive attitude most of the time. He has a low self-esteem, due to his neglect from his mother. He decided after his mother's banishment to turn his hatred and suffering into something positive. Ospreykit wants to be something that his father and brother could be proud of. Now, he is a sweet little kit that can't stand to see pain, or suffering.

The tom is a good listener, whether to his mentor or to others. Anyone with a problem he will listen to, and he may not have an answer, but he will listen. And he isn't disrespectful at all, he won't interrupt, waiting until the speaker is done, before even thinking about speaking himself.

He is skittish at times, especially when he sees or thinks about his mother. He tries to hide the pain and suffering he has gone through, ever since he was a young kit, but sometimes it is inconceivable. These are the times when he hears cries of pain and sorrow. Cats being injured. He hopes that he will get over this as he grows older. He loves to watch the sun rise and fall, as well as the moon rise and fall. He wants to return to the kit he was before his brother died. The kit who was sweet and gentle, loving and innocent.

History:

Ospreykit was born into a litter of two kits. Him being the youngest, and a complete suprise. His parents, Larkfoot and Heronflight were only expecting one kit. Ospreykit, and his older brother Falconkit were the best of friends. The two were inseparable.

Larkfoot had a deep hatred for Ospreykit, because he was the first out of both her and Heronflight's family to be born small and not grow much. Larkfoot abused the poor kit, doing all that she could to try and kill him. Giving him emotional and physical scars. Questions soon arose about why the kit was always bleeding, or hurt, but if he told, Larkfoot told him that she would kill him. Falconkit was treated like a prince, he was loved by Larkfoot, and was never abused.

Heronflight was Ospreykit's idol. Until the dreaded day that Heronflight died in battle. Falconkit was there to comfort his little brother, doing all he could to be there for Ospreykit. Falconkit hated being treated like he was when Ospreykit suffered. On several occasions Ospreykit almost died from lack of milk.

Falconkit soon grew ill, and died of greencough. This sent Larkfoot crazy. She began to blame Ospreykit, and the trauma that the little kit faced only grew worse. He eventually gained an angry attitude. He was almost always mad at everyone, even the cats he once loved. He had turned his back on the world. His mother continued to abuse and neglect the kit, leaving him weak and unable to hardly move.

Thankfully, one of the warriors found out what had been happening to Ospreykit when the kit reached three moons, and Larksong was banished from the clan. The pain stopped there. He was given to another queen to be raised, but due to him not getting adequate nutrition in his earlier moons, he did not grow.

Since he has been without his mother, the young kit has changed his attitude. He is more calm and caring. Like he was at a younger age. He still has many scars from his mother, and tries to hide them. He now is mostly quiet and shy, and tends to take a while to trust someone. But one thing the kit has learned is Memories never fade. And that line is a line he repeats quite often.
