The Rules

Welcome to One Life! We are a semi-literate warriors role-play that absolutely welcomes new members. As with any site here are our rules, so check them out. We offer the five original clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan, and SkyClan. We also offer the option of having a loner, rouge or kittypet.

General Rules:

• Do not disrespect any other members. OL will not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind. We do no discriminate against race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, mental disabilities, physical disabilities, etc.
  
• Please keep the site PG-13. This means you must follow the guidelines that proboards has listed in their Terms of Service.
  

Character Rules

• You may have as many characters as you like, but if you find that you can not keep them active either delete them or place them for adoption.
  
• To Apply for a HIGH POSITION you must apply to a different form than a regular bio. This can be found in the create a cat area.
  
• Members may only have two high positions. That means ONE in ONE clan, and ONE in ANOTHER clan. You may not have two high positions in the same clan. If the number of active members on the site reaches fifty, this rule will change.
  
• Occasionally there will be a High Position rotation, Leaders need to occasionally loose lives, and when a rotation occurs, the leaders shall loose their last lives and the deputy at the time shall become clan leader. There will be a month head's notice about a rotation, so that the role-player of the leader may be sure that the leader's live have been used up. Medicine Cats will also rotate regularly, this keeps fresh people in the positions and keeps the site alive.
  
• I ask that there are no homosexual cats, this is NOT to discriminate. But this just doesn't work in the animal world.
  
• Keep the number of half-clan cats to a minimum. Not every cat is half-clan, please keep that in mind. If we feel there are too many, bans will be made.
  
• I also ask that you keep the names of the cats realistic. I don't want cats named Jingostar and Purdypelt. It just looks ridiculous.
  
• When making the characters, please follow the basic form that you will find in the Create a Cat board.
  
• You may only have three Work In Progress bios at a time. If you fail to follow this rule, your bios will be removed.
  
• When naming your cat, your name must come from your cat in some way. Like you can't have a black cat called Whitekit. Just saying it looks stupid.
  
• A prefix may only be used once PER CLAN. Example: If there is already a Whitesomething in RiverClan, do not make a Whitekit/Whitepaw/Whitewhatever, use a different prefix.
  
• Apprentices will be assigned mentors by a staff member after they are accepted.
  
• Do not create a kit younger than three moons unless you have someone to take care of them. You must find a queen and let us know that they are willing to take in the kit if you wish to create one younger than three moons.
  
• Finally, the only animals that will be role-played here are CATS. If you just have to have another animal you may send me a pm and I will discuss it with you.
  

Posting Rules:

• I ask that you have at least a 200 word minimum for each post you make.
  
• Please use the spell check, that's what it's there for.
  
• Please use decent grammar.
  
• This site does use liquid time. This means that your character can be in more than one active post at a time.
  
• God-Moding and Powerplaying is not allowed.
  
• All post should be in the third person. Ex. "Examplepaw lept over a log, clearing it easily as he chased after the rabbit. " (No. You can't use Examplepaw as a real name.)
  

C-Box Rules

• No Spamming
  
• No Advertising
  
• No Arguing, take it to PM's if you must.
  

Others:

• Act like young adults, or adults. If you want me to treat you as if you have sense, act like you do.
  
• Don't irritate the staff. We have lives as well as you do, so excuse us for being human if we make a mistake.
  
• If you have an issue with any staff member; do NOT confront them. Take it to me, unless you can talk it out like civilized people.
  
• Don't ask me to be staff. When enough people are on the site, I will post applications to fulfill the remaining positions. Asking me, will get your name on a list of people I won't choose. If you deserve power, you will get it BECAUSE you deserve it.
  
• Do NOT use any member's characters, logos, signatures, banners, avatars, post, etc. WITHOUT their permission. This is called plagiarism, and if you do use their work be SURE to credit them.
  
• Most importantly have fun, be safe, make friends, and take care.
